Setshedi Makgale & Matlapeng is a 100% black owned law firm which consists of well experienced partners with at least 68 years of experience in the field between them. The firm was started by Moshanti Makgale and Itiseng Matlapeng in 2007.

Mr Makgale served as an attorney and partner in the firm Setshedi Makgale & Partners at Tlhabane in 1991 whilst Mr Matlapeng started in the firm Sehloho Matlapeng & Partners at Ga-Rankuwa in 1988 and in 1990 started to practise on his own account.

In 2007 they joined forces to start the current firm, Setshedi Makgale & Matlapeng. They have demonstrated a great measure of versatility as presiding officers in disciplinary hearings, acting judges, regional court magistrates, investigators as well as employers and employees representatives without being compromised as astute lawyers. . As one of South Africa’s most respected, dynamic and dedicated law firms, Setshedi Makgale Matlapeng in persuance of the lofty ideal of women empowerment appointed Ms Zanele Nkosi an astute and energetic attorney as a partner in 2010 who joined the firm in 2008. All the partners of Setshedi Makgale Matlapeng are currently members of the Black Lawyers Association.
